Why did you choose Daemen College?

I chose Daemen College on behalf of its small atmosphere, close to home feel, and the exciting community. I felt as if Daemen College would develop not only my knowledge, but incorporate me into today's growing society.

Why did you choose your present major?

I decided to change my major to Spanish and Health Promotion because the study of different languages and cultures has always interested me as well as the study of Health Promotion. I will be able to practice both aspects of these majors within my future endeavors.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen.

My time here thus far has been both adverse and enjoyable. I have my days where my schoolwork is immensely challenging but I am learning to balance my schoolwork with relaxation time. Daemen College as well has a plethora of different clubs and activities so there is never not something to do!

Do you live on campus? Please tell us about your on campus experiences.

As a resident here at Daemen College, I have been able to emerge myself into the campus community as well as develop strong friendships. Whether I am on campus enjoying the experience here or off campus enjoying the community around me, I never fail to feel a connection to Daemen. By living on campus, I have been able to get a feel of the emotions and connections that this campus withholds.

What do you like best about Daemen College?

The aspect I like most about Daemen College is the small atmosphere. I never go into huge lecture halls where my professor cannot pay attention to me individually. Instead, I am able to develop a relationship with my professors and my classmates for a more intimate learning experience.

What are your plans after graduation?

My plans after graduation are hard to fathom at the moment just because I am still in my youth. However, I think about it almost every day. In the future I hope to have a job that both incorporates the environment, whether it be educating the public in health or teaching them about risk factors that degenerate the environment. In the end, I believe we all aspire to be happy and that is what I am going for.

Please describe any internship, study abroad, service learning or academic experience? (For example, Academic Festival, Research Think Tank, etc.)

I studied abroad in Granada, Spain during the Spring 2019 semester!

What clubs or organizations have you been a part of here at Daemen College? What kinds of things do they do?

I’m a member of the College’s Honors Program. It has provided me with a firm foundation academically. Also, being in the program has allowed me to develop professional relationships with my professors and academic departments.
