Shortly after the end of World War II, the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Charity founded an institution of higher education in Amherst, NY dedicated to a liberal arts education for women.  That small college that fits nicely into a beautiful home in Amherst, NY, has evolved many times over the past century, into what it is today: Daemen University.  No longer able to fit into one building, Daemen now occupies 60+ acres in the heart of Amherst, along with a branch campus in Brooklyn, NY, that has truly become an institution of national distinction and the premier health sciences educator of Western New York. Join us as we celebrate our 75th anniversary with a year’s worth of events and activities that are designed to honor our past, celebrate our present, and dream about our vision - a very bright future at that.
