AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College’s inaugural Founders Celebration was a resounding success as the campus community joined together for several special events held on Sept. 7 and 8 to commemorate the college’s rich history of academic excellence and to honor its heritage.

AMHERST, N.Y. – Richard G. Schott, vice president for business affairs and treasurer at Daemen College, has announced that he will retire from his leadership role, effective Sept. 15. He has held the vice president position since October 2014.

AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College will celebrate the grand opening of its newly named Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability and Civic Engagement at a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 7 in Duns Scotus Room 226.

Artists and art educators Daniel V Calleri, Kate Stapleton Parzych, and Mark Snyder will be presenting new works from a variety of traditional, non-silver and digital photographic processes.

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Visual & Performing Arts Center Karamanoukian Photo Gallery: Wieslaw Skibinski was born in 1961 in Limanova, Poland. Ever since he was very young he made drawings and paints.From 1980-82 he studied the fine arts at the Pedagogical University in Krakow, Poland and then from 1982-87 he continued his studies at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He received a double Master's degree in copperplate engraving and animated film in 1988. Since then he has been pursuing graphic techniques, drawing, photography, design and occasionally animated film.He has been a several-time grant holder of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the John Paul II Foundation in Rome (in 1999 and 2002).He has received many awards in contests for the Best Etching of the month in Krakow and Warsaw and his work can be found in national and private collections all over the world.Skibinski currently resides in Przemysl, Poland with his wife and daughter.
