Why did you choose Daemen College?

I chose Daemen because of the great atmosphere it creates around my learning and living area. I feel as if Daemen does anything it can to make sure it has a great community that is positive. When I was away from home, it made me feel like I was home. Daemen takes everyone’s individual needs and attends to all of them in the best way it can. I believe that Daemen will help me pursue my degree while getting me ready for my career.

Why did you choose your present major?

I chose Accounting as my major because I am very skilled at applied math and I enjoy working out problems. Majoring in Accounting will help me love my job when I am older and become the best I can at it. Pursuing a career in Forensic Accounting will help me become more analytical in the career and even make my career more fulfilling to my skills.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College.

Pursuing my degree at Daemen is surely a long road of hours in the books and late nights in the library but knowing I will obtain a degree and hopefully a career from it helps me work hard and well at my studies.

Please describe any internship, study abroad, service learning or academic experience?

For service learning at Daemen I participated in a program called Soccer for Success. It takes place in a bunch of lower-income neighborhoods where mentors coach soccer using nutrition and soccer topics. It is a lot of fun and I am now an employee there and enjoy every day of it.

What clubs or organizations have you been a part of here at Daemen College? What kinds of things do they do?

I am currently a part of the NCAA Men’s DII Golf Team here at Daemen. We travel all over the country playing against other colleges. I am the president of the Men’s Club Volleyball team here at Daemen. We practice once a week and play in leagues and tournaments on the weekends. I use to be a part of Music Club and played guitar for them.

What is your favorite campus hangout? Why?

My favorite campus hangout is the beach volleyball sand court in between Rosary Hall and Wick. This is where volleyball gets very competitive and I have met so many people here in the past. Pick-up volleyball is a great way to meet new friends.
