Daemen University's Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony is an event that celebrates the achievements, aspirations, and the completion of undergraduate and graduate careers here at the university. We take this time to celebrate academic traditions, to honor achievement, and to congratulate our students who represent excellence in each department. Graduation Leadership Awards
Each year, awards are conferred to seniors who have distinguished themselves as leaders within the university community. The President's Office, the Student Association, and the Alumni Relations Office solicit nominations from the Daemen community for graduating undergraduate seniors to be candidates for these unique leadership awards.
All nominations and supporting materials must be submitted by Thursday, April 4, 2024.
When nominating a student, please include appropriate supporting material on the candidate, which will be beneficial for review by the committees of these respective awards. Below, is information that should assist you in choosing the award for your graduating nominee..
Presidents Award
Conferred by the Office of the President
A leadership award that particularly recognizes an undergraduate student who has exhibited extraordinary dedication, care, and concern for their fellow students.

Mary Angela Canavan Award
Conferred by the Student Government Association
A leadership award that particularly recognizes an undergraduate student who has made significant contributions to the betterment of student life at the University.
