“I definitely want to create my own cartoon series one day. That’s my main goal. I also think animating for a video game would be cool. I’m just going to go wherever my career takes me, honestly.”

Emilee was born in Alaska into a military family. She’s lived in Western New York, South Carolina and Utah (and she’s visited many states). However, Western New York is her favorite because of the educational opportunities.

She read about Daemen’s Animation program and went to an open house the next day.

Animation. Graphic Design. Illustration. Entrepreneurship. Daemen helps students like Emilee explore their creative side and can help you turn your passion into a fulfilling career.

Social Work Undergraduate 2nd Year

“When I first stepped on campus, I felt right at home. I instantly noticed that Daemen was a family – like community. I witnessed genuine relationships between the students and faculty. My first experiences with student activities and engagements were top-tier. At that point, I knew that Daemen was right for me.”

Isaiah is someone who values connection, and wants to make his life’s work about identifying opportunities to bring people together. While exploring music and dance in high school, Isaiah decided that he wanted to be a social worker as a way to blend his passion and talents to improve communities and provide purpose to life.

Sociology of Family, his most memorable class, offers discussions he found timely and relevant to the world. Through his studies, Isaiah learned about the variety of career options within the field, and pathways to continue with Daemen at a graduate level.

Physician Assistant Studies (PA) Undergraduate 2nd Year

“Daemen treats us like professionals as soon as we enter as first-year students … I have no doubt that I will be prepared, in every aspect, for finding a job when I graduate and for clinical rotations.”

Angeleah came to Daemen from upstate NY for the nationally-ranked and respected Physician Assistant Studies program.

“Every time I shadowed a new site for my observation hours, many of the PAs and doctors spoke very highly of Daemen’s program.”

The accelerated timeline at Daemen allows Angeleah to earn the credentials to be a practicing PA in just five years. She also values the small class sizes and a campus that fosters lifelong relationships and professional skillsets.

Like all students of the health professions at Daemen, Angeleah studies in our state-of-the art Center for Interprofessional Learning and Simulation (CILS). The 2,400 square-foot center, located within Daemen’s Research and Information Commons, is a replica of a professional health clinic. CILS houses eight modern examination rooms, a counseling room, and a space for telehealth, telecounseling, and interprofessional learning experiences.
