Letter from the Chairs
Dear Members of the Shared Daemen and Rosary Hill Community,
Tom and I feel very honored to have been asked to co-chair the largest fundraising campaign in the history of Daemen and Rosary Hill Colleges, Daemen’s Drive to 75. This campaign celebrates 75 years of inspiration, innovation, and vision by a place that means so very much to each of us.
For many decades, we have been avid supporters and advocates of the college. It is extremely gratifying to help orchestrate a vision to grow Daemen College to new heights, dramatically improving the already exemplary education provided to our students.
Daemen College has already done so much for so many, but we are not done yet! This page outlines the objectives of the campaign, which we believe are ambitious, yet attainable for a college of our stature.
Thousands of students are counting on us, and we are counting on you to help us reach the $22 million goal of Daemen’s Drive to 75. As Daemen continues producing the leaders of tomorrow, through its effective competency based education, your support will have a lasting effect for generations to come.

Endowment is the lifeblood of any private college or university and a tangible measurement of an institution’s commitment to the future. Invested wisely, endowments ensure sustained excellence over the long term. Donors to endowed funds become part of the perpetual legacy of Daemen College. Endowed scholarships and professorships allow the College to pursue the highest quality students and faculty to provide a dynamic campus environment, filled with the highest levels of intellectual rigor and discourse.
Student scholarships are vital to Daemen’s ability to enable students to apply their knowledge and talents with expertise and passion. A healthy scholarship endowment protects against rising tuition burdens and allows the College to compete financially with peer institutions during the college enrollment process. Strong endowments sustain and enhance our leadership in the future of the ever changing higher education landscape. It is vitally important that Daemen maintain its competiveness in scholarship offerings. Through endowed scholarships, we will attract a highly capable and diverse student body that will prepare student to succeed and thrive in our increasingly global society.
Endowed professorships make it possible for Daemen to attract, retain, and honor the most dynamic and talented faculty. Our students are challenged and driven to succeed by the mentorship of the highest quality faculty. Endowed professorships are the highest honor faculty can receive, and are enormously helpful in recruitment, and retention, of top tier faculty. Endowed support enables them to initiate groundbreaking research, and pioneer projects that offer the greatest potential to impact society, while teaching and training the next generation of student leaders. Endowed professorships are a lasting tribute to the donor, as a legacy of intellectual support is built for lifetimes ahead.
With the relentless drive to produce graduates prepared to be the leaders of tomorrow, endowed funds ensure that Daemen can provide our top notch private education for generations to come.
Daemen has long been distinguished by its high quality science and healthcare programs, the two most prominent of which are our Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies programs. These programs consistently elevate the visibility and distinction of our College and are highly competitive on the national scale. Our physical therapy program has a current Three Year Weighted Average Ultimate Pass Rate of 100% for first time pass rates on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE), which is above both New York State and national averages. Beyond intellectual achievement, these marquee programs also play an integral role in producing highly qualified professionals who make up the exceptional pool of alumni that will support the College in decades ahead. In the last five years, ninety-nine percent of Physician Assistant program graduates were fully employed within six months, earning salaries well above the national averages of recent college graduates.
While our science and healthcare programs have long held great reputations in the marketplace, it is important to always be seeking ways to improve them to stay at the forefront of these fields. Physical laboratory spaces are an essential component of a science education, and Daemen has long provided high quality spaces. Of course, with time have come new advances that necessitate the College to make updates and renovations to the existing laboratory spaces to keep our programs as the student destination that they are.
Daemen seeks to make transformative improvements to our laboratory space to give our students new state of the art learning spaces in order to produce the greatest quality of research, discourse, and hands-on learning outcomes. These improvements will further allow us to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our student population in the sciences; the largest population of students on our campus and in our applicant pool. Enhanced laboratory settings help to recruit top scientific minds, both students and faculty, to Daemen, and ensure that we maintain our competitive advantage over peer institutions.
Daemen is in the midst of incredible campus beautification and enhancement. Many strategic moves have been made not only to beautify the campus, but also to maximize utilization of campus space. The centerpiece of this transformational plan is Daemen Square, which will become the central heart of our campus. A park-like quadrangle, Daemen Square will bridge Wick Campus Center to Duns Scotus Hall and provide a gathering place for students, faculty and local community members. Daemen Square will enhance the collegial aesthetics of our physical space, and will provide a vast space for discourse, recreation, and creative expression.
Daemen Square will build on Daemen’s tradition of having a close-knit community of students and faculty. It will complement the Wick Campus Center as the primary spaces on campus for students and faculty to gather, teach, and learn. Much of the learning during college comes from lessons out of the classroom. The social benefits of Daemen Square and Wick Campus Center teach students to interact with a diverse community and to become more worldly and imaginative people.
Daemen College is proud to be a new member of Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This division promotes a strong balance between competitive athletic contests with high level academic achievement, to build student leaders both on and off the playing surface. Often the most visible aspect of any college or university, athletics play an integral role in building and bolstering Daemen’s visibility in our local community, as well as on regional and national scales. With capacity crowds at many sporting events, Daemen has seen great success in involving the student body, and the greater community, in the shared passion of our Wildcats.
Much as the physical needs of academic spaces have evolved, so to have the spatial needs of athletic facilities. With visionary plans to expand our athletic facilities, Daemen seeks to further the role that athletics plays in student recruitment, not only of student-athletes themselves, but of the larger population of students at large that view athletics as important to their college experience.
Your support is vital and helps fund visionary facility enhancements that embody the quality and reputation of a college of national distinction.
