Welcome to the Alumni Events page

With concern high regarding safety and public health, Daemen College takes social responsibility and our commitment very seriously to keeping our college community and the greater community safe. For that reason, Daemen is cancelling in person events as of 3/12/2020. We are continuing to hold virtual events. We appreciate your patience and understanding during what continues to be an unprecedented and fluid situation. As always, our decisions will continue to be made with the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the greater community in mind. If you have questions, contact alumni@daemen.edu

In this fifth installment of our virtual series, Daemen College will explore the multifaceted roles that essential workers in healthcare have played throughout the response to COVID-19, acknowledging the complexities of the social responsibility many feel bound by, as well as the possible physical and mental costs of the work. Together we will consider the unique challenges posed by COVID-19 on systems of care and the potential dangers of regarding essential workers in healthcare as heroes. In addition, we will discuss ways of supporting essential workers in healthcare in light of the logistical and emotional challenges of caregiving during this time.
