Why did you choose Daemen College?
I chose Daemen College because not only was the Physical Therapy program was perfect for me, I loved the small college life, as well as all the fun things to do outside of campus around Amherst and Buffalo. To top it off, the DII Triathlon team was the perfect way to allow me to continue sports in college and fulfill my love for athletics.
Why did you choose your present major?
I ended up deciding on Physical Therapy because I have always been fascinated with movement and correcting injury, especially with my athletic background. Physical Therapy allows me to study what interests me, as well as help others in the process.
Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College. (Ex: It is challenging, but I know it will prepare me for my career..etc)
As a current freshman, my academic experience here at Daemen has been pretty limited, but so far I have had great success as a result of my “start-of-the-school-year” motivation to study!
Please describe the impact Daemen faculty, staff and advisors have had on you.
I have been especially impacted by the Daemen staff’s efforts to use their personal college+ experiences to help us. It not only makes the advice genuine and relatable, and helps everyone with improving their college experience, despite the variety of situations.
Do you live on campus? Please tell us about your on campus experiences.
Thankfully, I only live on the second floor of Canavan so my trip up the stairs isn’t too bad, even right after morning practice. I have loved the newly improved lounge areas on each floor, where I can continue to practice my love of baking, as well as hang out with other people I wouldn’t meet otherwise. Living on campus also allows me to be present for any activities going on, which makes me feel included and gives me a fun break from schoolwork!
What is your favorite campus hangout? Why?
I love all the picnic tables spread around campus! It is incredibly gorgeous here, with the trees, weather, and wildlife, and it is such a joy for me to study, eat meals, etc. with my friends outside.
