AMHERST, N.Y. – Frank Williams, associate vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions at Daemen College, will be among this year’s honorees at the 43rd annual Buffalo Black Achievers Annual Awards dinner to be held Oct. 10 in the Adam’s Mark Hotel.

The event provides an opportunity for business, civic and religious organizations to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions in various career endeavors.

“Frank’s leadership at Daemen has been vital to the success of our admissions and enrollment efforts and his many contributions have had a tremendous impact on the college,” said Dr. Patricia Ruppert Brown, vice president for enrollment management. “We congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”

Williams, who has 17 years of experience in higher education, currently serves on several Daemen committees and is co-chair of the Equity and Diversity Committee. Active with state and national professional organizations, he has served on the New York State Transfer and Articulation Association Executive Board, and is a member of the New York State Association for College Admissions Counselors and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

“It is an extraordinary honor to be recognized with such an accomplished group of individuals in our community,” said Williams. “Throughout my tenure at Daemen, my work has been both professionally and personally rewarding and has given me the opportunity to work with incredible colleagues and students.”

A graduate of Bennett High School, Williams earned a master’s degree in college student services and development from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education with a minor in sociology from SUNY Fredonia, and he holds a license in ministry. He also recently completed the College Board Enrollment Leadership Academy.
