AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College has been named for the second time by Buffalo Business First as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Western New York, making it the only college to receive the regional distinction this year.

Daemen will be recognized in the extra-large category (250+ employees) with all 2016 honorees, including BlueCross BlueShield of Western York, Evans Bank and United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, at a luncheon celebration scheduled for 11:30 a.m. March 16 in Buffalo RiverWorks.

“We are extremely proud to be selected again as one of the Buffalo Niagara region’s ‘Best Places to Work,’ an honor that exemplifies Daemen’s strong collegial values and collaborative culture,” said Daemen President Gary A. Olson. “Creating an excellent workplace for faculty and staff has been a top priority at Daemen, and our efforts have infused great pride and camaraderie across campus.”

The top three companies or organizations with the highest scores in each of the five categories will receive special recognition at the luncheon. Results for the annual list are based on employee surveys on the quality of the workplace.
