AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College’s 48th annual All High Exhibition showcasing artwork by local high school juniors and seniors from throughout Western New York will open on Feb. 5 with a reception scheduled for 1 p.m. in the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Gallery in the Haberman Gacioch Arts Center.

An awards ceremony will be held at the start of the reception for the juried competition, which is being hosted by the Daemen Visual and Performing Arts Department. Daemen scholarships totaling more than $30,000 will be presented for Best in Show along with Best in Illustration, Graphic Design, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Print, New Media, and 3D Work, and honorable mentions. Student winners will also receive cash awards courtesy of the college and the Buffalo Society of Artists.

This year’s event will include a new Snapchat contest that will invite All High participants to take a photo of their favorite piece of artwork, personalize it using the Snapchat doodle feature, and then submitting the picture to DCAllHigh on Snapchat. Participants with the most creative submissions will be recognized at the opening reception.

Daemen’s All High Exhibition will be on view in the Tower Gallery, located on the first floor of the arts center, through Feb. 24. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
