May 3, 2016

AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College student Sheila Greenlief has been selected to receive a $500 scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year from the Western New York Paralegal Association. This is the first time a Daemen student has been awarded a WNYPA scholarship.

Greenlief is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies at Daemen and is a member of the student Paralegal Club.

“We are proud to have a Daemen student honored by the Western New York Paralegal Association,” said Margaret Phillips, director of paralegal studies at Daemen. “This award is a reflection of Sheila’s hard work and determination to excel in her studies while also working full-time and raising a family.”

As a scholarship recipient, Greenlief will receive a one-year membership to the WNYPA. Selection for the scholarship is based on academic excellence, participation in campus and paralegal program leadership activities, and community service.

She resides in Wilson.
