AMHERST, N.Y. -- Nearly 80 crib and isolette blankets handmade by the Daemen College Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA) and the Young Adult Transitions (YALT) program have been donated to a neonatal unit and children’s hospitals in Buffalo and Syracuse.

Fleece crib blankets made for the project have been distributed to Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse and Sister’s Hospital in Buffalo, which also received isolette blankets for its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“More than 30 students of the SPTA and YALT contributed to the success of this community project that will benefit many infants being cared for at area hospitals,” said Jacqueline Chmiel, SPTA community co-chair.
