Toy Drive to Benefit Young Patients

AMHERST, N.Y. -- A variety of items collected in a recent campus toy drive hosted by the Daemen College Student Physical Therapy Association will benefit many young patients at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Donated toys will be handed out to children at the hospital on birthdays and other special occasions. This was the first time SPTA participated in the toy drive, an effort coordinated by a local family in memory of Dante Mancuso, who was killed in an accident in 2014.

“We are very grateful to all the Daemen faculty, staff and students who supported this effort and made the toy drive such a success,” said Jacqueline Chmiel of Williamsville, SPTA community chair. “The items will certainly help bring smiles and joy to patients being cared for at the hospital.”
