For the past month, USA Hockey has hosted multiple camps for young elite prospects at Daemen University.
While hockey matches and practices were held at the nearby Northtown Center in Amherst (and livestreamed on HockeyTV.com), players were housed, coached and took classes at Daemen.


Daemen University has been named a national College of Distinction – a prestigious recognition given to higher education institutions – as an acknowledgement of distinction in teaching, scholarship and student success.


The American Association for Italian Studies (AAIS) has awarded the book prize for Visual Studies to Laura Watts, professor of art history in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Daemen University, for her book Italian Panting in the Age of Unification.
