Mar 9, 2020AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College has been selected for the third consecutive year by University Research and Review as a 2020 Best Value College in recognition of the institution’s high quality education and affordability.
Daemen is one of fewer than 125 colleges and universities throughout the country named to the national list, including Bethel University, Mercyhurst University, Manhattanville College, Ohio Northern University, and the University of Hartford.
“We are honored to be recognized nationally for the exceptional educational experience and high value we provide our students,” said Daemen President Gary Olson. “As Western New York’s premier health sciences educator, Daemen is committed to academic excellence and ensuring our students develop the skills and talents needed to thrive in their careers.”
Daemen is one of only seven colleges across New York State named to the Best Value Colleges list. Selection is based on cost and affordability, student satisfaction with the institution, unique institutional qualities, student debt, and graduation rate.
“We have identified schools that meet our rigorous criteria for quality, student engagement and satisfaction, actual out-of-pocket costs, and the availability of financial aid,” said L. Joseph Schmoke, chairman and CEO of University Research and Review and founder of the Best Value Colleges program. “All these schools belong to an elite ‘club’ of high quality, affordable post-secondary institutions.”
Best Value Colleges was founded by former college and university presidents and CEOs and is advised by experienced academics and outside experts.
Daemen’s inclusion as a Best Value College is the latest in other recent national recognitions the college has earned, including being named among the country’s best universities in the 2020 U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings and selection for the prestigious Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education Rankings and as a College of Distinction.
