Apr 24, 2018AMHERST, N.Y. – Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Daemen College will hold its second annual Day of Giving on April 25, a 24-hour campaign that brings together the college community to raise support for Daemen students and the institution.
Throughout the daylong initiative, alumni, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends of the college will have the opportunity to make an online gift toward this special fundraising effort. All gifts will provide much needed support for student scholarships, academic and co-curricular programs, and facility enhancements.
“Daemen Day of Giving is an exciting new fundraising tradition in which every donor and every gift has a great impact,” said Craig Harris, vice president for institutional advancement. “Together, we can make a truly meaningful difference in the lives of our students and build a stronger future for the college by participating in this one-day giving campaign.”
This year’s Daemen Day of Giving officially kicks off at 12 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, with a countdown clock and real time updates on the number of gifts received to be posted online. Each and every gift of any size will go toward reaching the goal of 250 gifts for the 2018 campaign, which will also include challenge gifts during the daylong giving initiative.
To help raise awareness about the fundraising effort, members of the college community will be encouraged to use the official hashtag #daemendayofgiving.
