AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College accounting students will provide free tax preparation services to eligible individuals and families starting on Feb. 17.

Offered through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, tax preparation will be provided by appointment only to area residents with annual incomes below $54,000. Appointments will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through April 13 in Daemen’s Business Building. Parking is free and available next to the building.

“This program gives our students valuable hands-on experience and provides an important service to our community,” said Dr. Michele Flint, chair of the Daemen Accounting Department.
