Daemen is No. 298 on the list of private and public colleges across the U.S., making it the highest ranked private college in the Buffalo Niagara region and ninth among private institutions throughout New York State.
“This national ranking reaffirms the affordability and tremendous value of a Daemen education,” said Daemen President Gary Olson. “We are pleased to know that our efforts to offer a generous level of support to our students and assistance to keep loan debt to a minimum is having a great impact on students and their families.”
Based on data from Peterson’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Database, LendEDU ranked colleges and universities where parents of undergraduate students have the least Parent PLUS Loan debt. According to LendEDU, the average Parent PLUS Loan amount at Daemen is $1,121, one of the lowest in the country.
“After analyzing data for over 1,000 four-year nonprofit public and private institutions, we found the 500 higher education institutions that do their best to limit student loan debt for parents,” noted LendEDU.
Approximately 93 percent of full-time undergraduate Daemen students receive merit scholarships and the majority of undergraduates receive some type of financial aid.
“At Daemen, we strive to create individualized financial aid packages that meet the needs of our students and their families, giving students the opportunity to get the most out of their college education and to graduate with as little debt as possible,” said Jeffrey Pagano, director of financial aid.
