Daemen participants for the 2018-19 program are Annie Mandart of Sanborn, academic services coordinator, and Tiffany Shadden of Amherst, registrar.
“We congratulate Annie and Tiffany for completing this program, which is a valuable professional development opportunity for women in our region who aspire to leadership roles in higher education,” said Dr. Michael Brogan, senior vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college.
Women’s Leadership Institute participants from colleges from throughout the region were recognized at a ceremony held in their honor on April 24. The keynote speaker was Dr. Richanne Mankey, president of Defiance College and a founding member of the WLI.
The Women’s Leadership Institute is designed to engage women in dialogue on the complexity of issues facing higher education. Senior higher education leaders serve as discussion leaders, mentors, and facilitators so that participants may gain a broader perspective and understanding on critical areas in higher education.
