Just named a top-5 “Best Local University” in a new contest by the Buffalo News, Daemen College has advanced to the final round—with the winner chosen by a public vote.

From June 21 to July 11, community members will have the opportunity to choose Daemen—voting as often as once per day—in the first-ever “Best of 716” contest.

Votes can be cast for “Best Local University” by clicking the “Education” category on the Best of 716 site.

The top-5 honor for Daemen comes after the college received a leading number of nominations in the competition, which launched in early May.

Other “Best of” categories include food and drink, retail and shopping, medical services, weddings, health and beauty, bakery and sweets, among others.

Winners in each of the categories will be announced on September 19 by the Buffalo News.
