Advice I would give a new student is: It is ok not knowing what you want to major in and it is ok to change your major!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Orientation. Orientation was my first time on campus and away from home. I was scared and was not as optimistic about the experience. As soon as I came on campus I felt immediately welcomed and this is when I met my lifelong friends.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen assisted me on my major. I came into Daemen with a career path that my parents want. After a few weeks of attending class, I realize that I wanted to changed my major and multiple staff members help me figure out the right path to take. I felt so accepted and not ashamed for changing my major.

Advice I would give a new student is: College is about testing those curiosities you have, once your here you have the liberty to discover who you are. Never be afraid of change, there is always a future you waiting, for you to discover who they are its the best apart of life.
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Programming last year's Spring Fest which I was in charge of. It was amazing to see how everything was able to come together and the students that attended having fun and a great time.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen made an impact on me by showing me how to never be afraid of change but how to adapt to it and see in what ways it will affect me in a positive or negative way. Preparing my self for that was a difficult thing to do but made me better woman in every way.

Advice I would give a new student is: Please enjoy your college experience. Yes, it may get stressful from time to time but college is what you make it! ENJOYYYY it! My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Getting accepted into HEOP at Daemen College in Rosary Hall during my Bus Trip Visit! One of the Best Days of my life!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has impacted me because I was able to understand who I am as a person. I have learned many things about myself that I did not know before because I kept an open mind while being here.

Advice I would give a new student is: Try to get involved and meet as many people as possible. I've met some of my closest friends here at Daemen, and I've gotten very involved and it's really enhanced my experience. There's a lot of fun things to do campus, so definitely try new things and meet new people.
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Bus rides and trips to NYC with my teammates.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has allowed me to develop personally and academically. I've met so many great and diverse groups of people while being here at Daemen between classmates and professors. There is such a great friendly atmosphere where you can meet a lot of different people and have a lot of fun while getting a great education. The professors here create a culture where getting help is very easy and are willing to take time to work with you to really learn the material. Making these connections has given me opportunities for programs and internships related to my future medical career.

How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Being a Daemen student has given me the opportunities, the support, and the freedom to be myself as I work to achieve my goals. My most memorable moment at Daemen was: My eighteenth birthday, this past October. A friend of mine came to my room in Canavan, asking me to come with them to the lounge on our floor. I walked into the lounge and saw my friends standing around a cake with candles on it for me as they sang me happy birthday!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Being at Daemen has taught me the value of communication. Everyone here — the professors, administrators, students, workers, and more — wants you to be successful. If you are struggling in any way, there is always someone willing and able to help you.

Advice I would give a new student is: Don't be afraid to challenge yourself to try activities, clubs, or take classes that you are hesitant about. Putting yourself out there and getting involved may end up leading to some of the best experiences of your college career. College is a time to grow as an individual, to explore potential interests, and to meet people from all backgrounds, so make sure to take advantage of opportunities and do not shy away from everything that lies in front of you!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Move-in weekend freshman year. I remember being extremely nervous to live in an unfamiliar environment surrounded by people I had never met before, but as soon as I arrived to campus and saw all the upperclassmen helping with move- in I felt at ease. I remember reflecting on all the unknowns that were ahead of me, but during that first weekend I met so many people and became more ready and excited to begin my college career than when I first came to campus. Although it was stressful and nerve-wracking at times, move-in weekend was an experience I wouldn't trade because of the friendships I made and the excitement of all that was happening in the moment.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has impacted me in so many ways in just the short two years that I have been a student here. I have met so many people and made so many amazing friends which give me a sense of community and support that I know I can rely on when I need it most. Becoming a Student Alumni Ambassador and a Peer Mentor allowed for me to develop my leadership skills. Daemen's opportunities have also helped me to become less shy upon first meeting people and made me more eager to become involved in as many ways as I can.

My most memorable moment at Daemen was: My most memorable memorable moment since being a student at Daemen was hearing some of the staff asking if I was going to apply to be an OL again for this upcoming class. Of course I told them how fast I filled out the returner application, but it meant so much to hear that from the staff who help plan this all!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen is my home. Every time someone asks me about Daemen, I talk about how much of a perfect fit is it for me. It has helped me socialize more, focus on what I really want to learn, and has opened my eyes to the real world.
Feel free to ask me about: What commuting is like. I am a commuter and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make friends off the bat, but I soon learned that is not the case. Also about our Cheer team here at Daemen!

Advice I would give a new student is: Push yourself outside of your comfort zone, you’ll at least learn something new and may even find a brand new passion!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: I had the privilege to attend a conference in Connecticut with some friends and the Campus Activities Team Advisor, Michael Paglicci. It was a super fun and informative time, and definitely was one of my more unique memories from my time so far at Daemen!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has pushed me to learn about myself and others in ways I never expected to. Because of Daemen’s individualized approach to learning, I’ve been able to discover the social topics that I am passionate about, and I’ve even been encouraged in the classroom to find inventive solutions for such issues. Extracurriculars allow me to wear many hats and deepen my understanding of what it is to be not just a good student, but also a good employee, colleague, roommate, and friend. My time at Daemen has pushed me beyond what I thought my limits were, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities for growth that have been presented to me here.

My most memorable moment at Daemen was: There are so many of them, it’s hard to choose. I love move-in day. Move-in day is such an exciting and lively time. First year students are nervous, enthusiastic, and overwhelmed. As a Resident Assistant, I enjoy meeting my residents and helping them get settled in. It’s a great introduction to the year!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has greatly impacted my life for the better. I am not the same person I was my first year. When walking into Daemen, I was a student athlete playing for the soccer team; as well as, a Biology major with aspirations to become a veterinarian. Now, I am a Resident Assistant and in the Nursing program. I learned more things about myself and my priorities. My path in life has changed and I believe everything happens for a reason. Daemen so far has been the best years of my life and I look forward to the future!

Advice I would give a new student is: Explore opportunities! Inform yourself about all of the opportunities we have at Daemen College including clubs, student leadership positions, the honors program, and independent study/research with professors. You never know what might enjoy participating in and the wonderful people you will meet from that.
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: The end of orientation week last summer was a very wholesome time spent celebrating the hard work of all my fellow orientation staff and myself.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has introduced me to a new community. I feel very much a part of life on campus and campus culture. My experience has expanded my circle of friends and made me comfortable enough to build professional relationships with my professors and administration.

Advice I would give a new student is: Make a plan, and do your best to follow through on it. Knowing when deadlines are and working accordingly will set you up for success! Set aside time for yourself, and take in every experience.

My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Meeting my roommates! There was an immediate bond and I’m so lucky to have been able to live with such wonderful people. They really helped me get out of my shell.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? The Daemen community is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone I’ve meet, whether it be student, teacher or faculty member, has been very easy to approach and talk to. Daemen has been way easier for me to acclimate to than any other school.

My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Attending the National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Conference in Pittsburg, PA because I am a member of Daemen College Rescue Squad. I was able to become certified as an EMT through Daemen and it has been an incredible opportunity and opportunity to learn medicine.

How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has made me a leader and given me so much confidence I have really become my best self here.

Advice I would give a new student is: Don't be afraid to branch out and try new things, Daemen has a lot of great opportunities for students to explore. Also, always remember to take time for yourself when stressed, mental breaks are important too!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: My last day as a peer mentor when the students from the class thanked me for being their peer mentor. I loved my experience as a peer mentor because I like to connect with people. Having all of the students thank me made me feel as though my connection to them was worthwhile.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen so far has definitely taught me to be more outgoing. Whether that be reaching out to someone new to make a friend or raising your hand to ask a question in class. The more I began to be outgoing the more I realized the strength of being yourself unapologetically and being curious.

Advice I would give a new student is: Don’t be worried about meeting new people and stepping out of your comfort zone. Trying new things and getting involved will give you the best college experience and help you to make some great memories along the way!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Becoming an OL for the second year in a row! I loved being an OL last summer and had the best experience. I cannot wait to do it all over again!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Being at Daemen has helped me come out of my shell and made me realize I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I have become involved with so many things that I never imagined I would in high school, and it has made me more well rounded and given me some amazing experiences!

Advice I would give a new student is: No man is an island! Don't be afraid to ask for help. There's resources for you to utilize whether you are in need of help academically, mentally, physically, ect.
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Seeing multiple sports teams be division champions like the Women's Basketball team!
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has a community that has aided in my growth to transition from a high school student to a mature young adult. Faculty members, professors, and students have helped me to help to achieve my goals by going over and beyond just for me. The community that Daemen has is one that I wouldn't give up for the world.

How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Daemen has allowed me to become the person I have always wanted to be. I have made so many connections and I love the atmosphere it has provided.

Advice I would give a new student is: Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. College is the time where you are able to meet new people and create new relationships and experiences. Cherish the moments you have with them because it will go by extremely fast!
My most memorable moment at Daemen was: My most memorable moment being at Daemen was during move-in week, where I was introduced to my, now, best friends and where I was able to familiarize myself with Daemen's community.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? The support services Daemen has here, where the faculty/staff and students treat you more than just a number on a roster. Daemen's community is extremely close and makes you feel like you belong here.

My most memorable moment at Daemen was: Participating in move-in weekend the past two years and having the opportunity to help new students and families feel welcome and comfortable with settling into campus.
How has Daemen had/made an impact on you? Being a student at Daemen has allowed me to be introduced to so many new people and experiences, and it has been a time in my life of growth, difficulties, and achievements.
