Advice I would give a new student is: My advice for a prospective student would be to take the time to figure out what it is that you really want. Some students find themselves in a major because their mom told them that they’d be a great nurse or lawyer, and all that results in is more time and money wasted trying to find if college is even meant for you. No one expects you to have your entire life figured out by your freshman year, but having a rough idea of what you actually like can help with deciding programming and finding enjoyable classes. This is your time.Take those internships, talk to your counselors, do that summer program. Whatever will get you acclimated to finding what you like and have a passion for. Also, if you plan to come to Daemen as a science student, learn Excel this summer!
Feel free to ask me about: Living on campus, anything about being a science major, the Cytotechnology major, being an out of state student, anything regarding navigating the campus and finding resources, transfer credits(both high school and college credits),etc.
