The admissions evaluation process begins when you submit your Daemen University application or CommonApp.
This is when your Daemen University admissions counselor will begin evaluating your eligibility for HEOP. If you meet the preliminary academic requirements, you will be asked to complete the online HEOP Supplemental Data Form which collects information about your household size and types of income earned throughout the year. You will also be asked, based on the information provided on the Data Form, to submit financial and other documents required to finish your eligibility evaluation.
If you have any questions regarding your application, please contact the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program at (716) 839-8249.
You MUST submit documentation of ALL household income for 2022. Household income includes the earnings for everyone that resides in the home.
Acceptable forms for proof of income include:
- SIGNED copy of Federal IRS Form 1040 (first 2 pages ONLY)
- W-2 Form - Wage and Tax Statement
- 4506T Request for Transcript of Tax Return
- Supplemental Security Income Benefit Verification Letter
- Social Services
- Unemployment Compensation
- Social Security Disability Insurance
- Child Support, Alimony, Veteran's Benefits, Disability Pension, Unemployment Benefits, and any other forms of income
You MUST complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure you add Daemen University using our school code 002808 so that HEOP can access your Student Aid Report.
No SAT? No ACT? No problem! Daemen is Test-Optional! We now use a holistic evaluation process in selecting the best students for HEOP.
While SAT/ACT scores are NOT required they can be submitted for evaluation if available.
You can submit your documents easily through the Stale portal. You will receive a link in your first email communication from your admissions counselor.
While you are busy collecting the necessary documents we need, please view the informational videos below. You will hear from Daemen staff and HEOP students about the HEOP admissions journey. Understanding the process, requirements, and expectations are very important steps to becoming part of the HEOP village.
