Dear Friend of Daemen University,
Daemen’s 2025-30 Strategic Plan, Maintaining Momentum, is a pivotal campaign that builds upon our momentum to fuel ongoing growth, sustainability, and success. The enhancements that were identified and completed as part of the 2020-25 strategic plan made a significant impact, and I am confident that the next five years will further propel our institution forward as a college of national distinction.
When I reflect on the past five years, I am filled with tremendous pride. The investments we made — and continue to make — in state-of-the-art programs and facilities, faculty and student enrichment, and campus beautification initiatives enhanced our academic offerings and accelerated our growth, and Daemen achieved university status in 2022.
We accomplished significant milestones together, including the creation of three academic colleges; the transformation of an existing parking lot into the picturesque quad, Saffrin Public Square; the naming of the Scott Bieler College of Health Professions, the Alfiero School of Business, and the Golisano School of Health & Human Sciences; and the opening of the Timothy M. Kennedy Institute for Mobility Innovation & Technology; among others.
This year, five cross-functional working groups collaborated on the current strategic plan, evaluating existing institutional processes and offerings to identify areas of opportunity that will set us apart, drive the institution forward, and inspire today’s students to become tomorrow’s civic leaders who will change the world.
As we look ahead to the next five years, we remain focused on five strategic pillars: rigorous academics, university life and climate, community engagement, university infrastructure, and fiscal stability. Dedicated faculty, staff, and administration, supported by our comprehensive fundraising campaign, “Moving Forward: The Campaign for Daemen’s Future,” will enable us to deliver on the ambitious goals presented in the strategic plan.
We have much to celebrate as we move forward with hope, optimism, and an unwavering commitment to Daemen’s legacy.
