Dare to Repair Cafe-11am to 2pm. Hennepin Community Center: 24 Ludington St, Buffalo. Got something that's broken? Don't ditch it! Dare to Repair it! The Dare to Repair Cafe is a community event where individuals can bring broken items (lamps, small electronics, vacuums, toys, etc.) to the repair cafe and have volunteer “fixers” try to repair the item alongside them for free! Can't make it to this date or location? Don't worry—there are four other Dare to Repair Cafe events scheduled through March. See the full list here.

Virtual DEC Climate Justice Working Group Meeting-2pm, virtual or at DEC Region 9 Office, 700 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's (DEC) 13-member Climate Justice Working Group (CJWG), established under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. The CJWG is tasked with establishing criteria for identifying disadvantaged communities (DACs) for the purposes of co-pollutant reductions, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, regulatory impact statements, and the allocation of investments pursuant to the CLCPA. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
