Merit Scholarships
Students who apply to Daemen will be considered for one of five scholarship awards: Presidents, Founders, Deans, Distinguished Faculty or Alumni scholarship.
The merit scholarships below are effective for students enrolling to Daemen University for the Fall 2025 semester.
Presidents Scholarship
This prestigious scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.
Amount of award (First Year): up to $17,500
Amount of award (Transfers): up to $12,500
Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 3.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
Founders Scholarship
The Founders Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.
Amount of award (First Year): up to $15,000
Amount of award (Transfers): up to $11,000
Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 3.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
Deans Scholarship
The Deans Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.
Amount of award (First Year): up to $12,500
Amount of award (Transfers): up to $10,000
Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.5 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
Distinguished Faculty Scholarship
The Distinguished Faculty Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.
Amount of award (First Year): up to $8,500
Amount of award (Transfers): up to $8,500
Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.5 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
Alumni Scholarship
The Alumni Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.
Amount of award (First Year): up to $7,000
Amount of award (Transfers): up to $7,000
Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
International Scholarship
Both undergraduate and graduate students who complete the entire application process will have an opportunity to receive a scholarship based on academic performance. Scholarships range from $9,500 - $12,500 for academic year.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, students must apply to the university. Upon acceptance, students will be notified regarding the amount of their scholarship.
Competitive Scholarships
Daemen's competitive scholarships are for students who interview for and are awarded Trustee Scholarships or Endowed scholarships, or for students who show extraordinary talent in athletics or their artwork. These scholarships are given out to select individuals through the admissions office, the Athletics department, or the Art department.
Athletic Scholarship
Full-time first-year students and transfers accepted for admission with the recommendation of the appropriate coach.

Visual Arts Scholarship
This award is given to first-year art students whose portfolio reflects outstanding talent as determined by a portfolio review by the Art Faculty.
Amount of Award: $5,000

Nursing RN-BS Tuition Grant
Generous 50% tuition grants for registered nurses are available. These grants are not based on financial need and are guaranteed through the completion of the BS degree requirements.
Nursing tuition grants (up to 50%) toward the cost of tuition are calculated utilizing the cost of tuition less any Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) or Aid for Part-time Study (APTS) proceeds.

- Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship: 10,000 to five (5) MSW Program students
- BOCES Scholarship: $2,000 a year (renewable for four years)
- HRSA Scholarship: $2,000 a year (renewable for four years)
- Border State Scholarship: $1,000 a year (renewable for four years)
- Sibling Scholarship: $3,000 a year (renewable for incoming sibling for four years)
- PT Summer Institute Scholarship: $1,500 for one year (one time)
- Chinese Club of Western New York $2,000 (renewable for four years)
- Buffalo Jewish Federation $2,000 (renewable for four years)
Graduate Scholarship Opportunities
30% Graduate Tuition Scholarship
Students enrolled in one of the following graduate programs; Applied Behavior Analysis, Leadership and Innovation, Public Health, MBA, Social Work and Special Education are eligible for a thirty (30) percent tuition scholarship. The scholarship reduces the current per credit hour tuition by 30%. Students must have an undergraduate gpa of 2.7 to be eligible for this scholarship.
AmeriCorps Matching Grant
AmeriCorps volunteers accrue educational benefits (Segal Education Awards) that may be used for graduate study. Daemen will match this award by providing AmeriCorps alumni an additional matching grant for all graduate programs excluding Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant. Proof of Segal Education Award eligibility can be provided through a copy of the award certificate or a letter from the applicant's AmeriCorps program manager.
