Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about transferring to Daemen University:
Transfer students should complete our free online application; and send transcripts from any college or university that they have attended. We can start your application with an unofficial transcript, but you will need to send an official transcript prior to registering for classes. If you have not completed a college degree, you will need to send us your high school transcripts. There is no essay requirement and letters of recommendation are not required.
Yes credits transfer into Daemen, we accept up to 90 transfer credits. A minimum of 30 credits completed at Daemen are required to earn a Bachelor's degree. The admissions transfer team will review unofficial transcripts to determine how many credits will transfer and how long it will take a student to complete their degree.
Yes transfer scholarships are offered to all accepted students and range between $7,000-$12,500. We also offer additional scholarships such as the $1000 Phi Theta Kappa for PTK members.
Yes transfer students could be eligible for financial aid. If you have already submitted the FAFSA for your current institution you could log back onto your FAFSA and add Daemen's Federal School Code: 002808 and the TAP undergraduate Code: 0670. View our financial aid website for more information.
For most of our programs, to be considered for acceptance a minimum 2.0 GPA is required. Some science related programs require a specific transfer GPA. Physical Therapy minimum cumulative GPA 2.8 and Science GPA 2.8. Biology and pre-professional degrees require a minimum 2.5 GPA.
The following documents must be submitted no later than the first day of classes in order for a student to register for classes: tuition/housing deposit, student health forms, all official high school and college transcripts. You will be contacted to schedule your class registration. Contact the transfer team with any questions about registration.

Most of our programs accept transfer students with unlimited seats. Our Physical Therapy Department offers limited seats for transfer students; contact our transfer team to learn more. Students can not transfer into the Physician Assistant Program.
