StEP Taskforce Summary 2024: Produced by the Student Excellence and Persistence (StEP) Task Force. This report provides an overview of some critical measures for student success and retention at Daemen University.
- There was a notable increase in fall-to-fall retention rates for first-time, full-time freshmen from fall 2022 to fall 2023.
- Similarly, four-year graduation rates have increased slightly from last year but are still within a few percentage points of rates over the previous several years.
- However, six-year graduation rates (a key metric for external reporting) have decreased slightly from last year.
Diversity and Equity Campus Climate Survey: In this report, we review and compare the responses of students, faculty, staff, and administrators at Daemen who took the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) Diversity and Equity Campus Climate Survey in 2023‐2024 to the responses of those same groups at other institutions.
