Students are expected to arrive at Daemen by the start date listed on your I-20 provided by Daemen University. Please send a copy of your travel itinerary to the International Admissions Office.
Students who arrive earlier than the start date listed on your I-20 will be responsible for securing a hotel room nearby campus.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). The Daemen campus is approximately 16 kilometers from the Buffalo airport.
The Global Programs Office will meet you at the airport and provide shuttle service to Daemen University. The shuttle service is free for all students. Please email the International Admissions Office with your arrival time and flight number.
If students arrive late at night or on a holiday, taxi service is available to Daemen from the airport for approximately $30.00. Please contact our office with your arrival time so someone can meet you on campus if shuttle service is not available.
Our residence life office offers housing to both undergraduate and graduate students. Our undergraduate freshmen students are housed in Canavan Hall, a traditional, suite-style residence. As an international student we advise that you travel as light as possible and purchase necessary items upon arrival.
If living on campus, the Global Programs Office will provide you with a pillow, blanket, sheets, and some other essential items to use until you are settled and able to go shopping.

The Global Programs Office coordinates international orientation, review their website for the schedule. All International Students are required to attend.
No. If a prolonged visa process inhibits your ability to arrive before the start of classes you must defer to the following semester. The first days of the semester are very important for all international students. Please email the International Admissions Office is you are not able to arrive before the start of classes.
During international orientation, students will meet with Student Accounts. Student Accounts will help students to set up a payment plan and determine the total cost each semester. You cannot live on campus at Daemen or begin classes until your health form is complete. If you have questions about the health form or your health compliance please contact the CHIP Center at health@daemen.edu.
