On the north lawn of The John R. Yurtchuk Student Center is a circular firepit used frequently by the Daemen community. Use and scheduling of the fire pit is authorized through the Student Activities Office. See a Student Activities staff member to discuss your event, fill out the required paperwork, and review the firepit regulations and procedures.
In Daemen University’s new Academic and Wellness Center has a fitness center available for general use by currently registered students at no additional fee. (Be sure to bring your Daemen ID to gain access to the facilities.) Other usage rules and regulations will be regularly posted by the Athletics Department.
Wick Center has a gameroom with various table games. These are available for Daemen students to use free of charge.
MusicalFare Theatre is a professional regional theatre which has been in residence at Daemen University since 1992. MusicalFare annually offers over 170 performances of world premiere, area premiere, and newly conceptualized musicals in its intimate 136 seat theatre. Also located on the north lawn of The John R. Yurtchuk Student Center, the sand volleyball court is a popular gathering place for students. Drop in games are always happening, as well as organized tournaments and fireside events.
Built in the summer of 2019, enjoy a pickup game on the Basketball Court located on the north lawn of The John R. Yurtchuk Student Center. You'll find events, tournaments, and pick-up games happening throughout the day and evening.
Located right in the middle of campus, The John R. Yurtchuk Student Center is a student's go-to destination for events, offices, and food options. Traditional all-you-can-eat meals are served in the main dining hall, and a la carte offerings are available in the Wildcat Den. The game room and the Wildcat Den are popular spots for socializing and relaxing during the day or evening. The Wildcat Den has multiple TVs, tables & chairs and booth seating, and community microwaves. The Wick Center also houses a multi-purpose social room, the Campus Safety desk, several lounges and meeting rooms, and several administrative staff offices. There are also a number of pianos throughout the building for students to play.
Student organizations are allowed to reserve rooms in The John R. Yurtchuk Student Center for various meetings and events, through the Student Activities Office. Administrative offices, academic departments, and outside organizations can reserve space in the John R. Yurtchuk Student Center through the Conference & Events Office.
