Daemen University is seeking a visionary leader to play a central role in shaping the success of a new College of Health Professions following organizational restructuring at Daemen from two divisions into three colleges. The founding Dean will start on or around June 1, 2023 and collaborate with faculty and staff to establish the new college’s identity and strategic direction. The Dean will oversee four academic departments that include undergraduate and graduate degrees offered in both face-to-face and online modalities. The college includes professionally accredited programs in Athletic Training, Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies and Physical Therapy. Graduates of Western New York’s premier health sciences educator achieve strong licensure pass rates and are highly sought by employers at all regional health systems. The new Dean’s term aligns with the launch of a new General Education curriculum designed to ensure a strong foundation in the liberal arts for students across all academic programs. The Dean will report to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost and will join a campus community that emphasizes teaching and research excellence, student engagement, and inclusive student success. In alignment with Daemen’s strategic plan, the new Dean will be charged with growing enrollment and new programs, and fostering a culture of philanthropy and grant writing to support faculty scholarship and other strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will understand the changing landscape of higher education and be prepared to innovate and advance initiatives in support of Daemen's emerging national distinction as an institution of academic excellence.
