WELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION!
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) is committed to building an inclusive campus community. The Center works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to cultivate a climate of awareness, understanding, respect, and inclusiveness for all individuals and groups. The Center designs and supports programs and initiatives that seek to ensure fair and equitable treatment for Daemen University's diverse community.
We have space for students to eat a meal, read and study, hold student organization meetings, or just hang out in DS115. The Campus Care Cupboard, also located in the CDI, is where students can order food and personal care products including menstrual hygiene items and other essentials free of charge!
Daemen's Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Policy protects all students, staff, and faculty from discrimination based on any protected class, including, sex, sexual orientation, gender, race, color, creed, religion, veteran or military status, status as an ex-offender, arrest record, predisposing genetic characteristics or genetic information, or any other characteristics protected by federal or New York State law. Daemen's One Daemen diversity, equity, and inclusion plan also outlines more about where we've been and where we're going as a community. Finally, our 2018 student campus climate survey results are public and are used to make decisions on campus where appropriate.
