Daemen has teamed up with New York State’s Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) on the Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program to enable eligible students to pursue degrees and advanced certificates in nursing, and social work degrees with no tuition costs.

Requirements
Participants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the CPT Program:
- United States Citizen/eligible noncitizen
- Meet all educational or training program requirements, based on the selected CPT title and course of study. This may include:
- Prior completion of educational programs, licensure, and/or certification;
- Successful completion of academic or training pre-requisites, or entrance exams;
- Fulfillment of any required training, volunteer, or experiential hours.
- Must be a NYS resident or resident of a bordering state (New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Vermont). Please Note: Out-of-state participants must be employed by a NYS provider to qualify for the CPT Program.
- Committed to employment at a New York State Medicaid-enrolled provider that serves at least 30 percent Medicaid members and/or uninsured individuals. These providers may include those that fall into the categories of health, behavioral health, and/or organizations that are part of established Social Care Networks.
Individuals that are enrolled part-time or are enrolled in pre-requisite classes but not already enrolled in one of the authorized title programs are eligible to transition to full-time under the CPT Program. Individuals that are already enrolled full-time in an academic program under one of the 13 approved job titles at the time of application are not eligible for the CPT Program. Documentation shall be maintained by FLPPS Workforce Investment Organization demonstrating participant eligibility for the program and made available to the NYS Office Health Insurance Programs (OHIP) and/or the Centers Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) upon request. Documentation must include evidence that individuals enrolled in a program part-time or have completed any prerequisites, would not have otherwise been able to enroll full-time absent the CPT Program.

The Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program offers several opportunities within the healthcare industry, focusing on two career pipelines advancing careers for existing healthcare workers and introducing new professionals into the field.
Funded by New York State Department of Health, the CPT Program is an education and training program designed to build up the health, behavioral health, and social care workforce.
Participants must apply for and accept FAFSA and TAP, if applicable. Costs covered by the program include tuition, required program fees, exams, textbooks, and supplies* as required by the educational or training program curriculum. These costs will be paid directly to the educational or training institution. Please note: This funding does not cover any room and board expenses. *Supplies include standard supplies required for program participation but do not include technology such as laptops or tablets.
